Nice place for 2 nights. The reception staff took care of us. We stayed in the queen room and really enjoyed it. Don't forget to visit nearby Eis Cafe, they have best coffee ever.
The hotel of choice in Birmingham. Truly enjoyed the comfy beds.
The street, it was too noisy.
Clean, comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. Food good - excellent breakfast.
Tired shower area, non functioning tv remote control, poor bar selection (only draught cider available). Location ok for overnight but otherwise isolated from leisure/shopping amenities.
A pleasant and convenient place to stay for access to either city or airport. Rooms and facilities adequate and comfortable and at a good room rate for the area.
Limited food available and only in the bar. Not a good feature when thewre are few restaurants or other eateries in the immediate neighbourhood
The rooms were clean, the reception staff were friendly and helpfull, a lift to upper floors would be a bonus for elderly people.
The recption desk area was abit gloomy, could do with a little modernisation.
Items on the menu that weren't in stock. Not all lightbulbs working in the room.
Large, clean double bedroom. Half hour, interesting walk (or cycle) along grand union canal to the city centre. Interesting Asian area 10 mins walk away for resaurants etc
Very few facilities within hotel other than conference rooms. Narrow winding corridors with steps and no lift which seemed strange for a newish building. But not a problem for the able-bodied.
Rhe best thing I liked about the hotel was leaving in the morning!
Taxi drivers delivering carry out food to the bar! The breakfast! The attitude of the owner/manager! The unfriendly attitude to the whole hotel!
The only positives about the hotel were is price and it's proximity to the rail network. THe breakfast was adequate although the poor guy that was running about taking orders, cooking and waiting had his work cut out on his own.
The hotel was a little lacking in standard. Poor decor, thin walls, no tv remote. All little things but things that make the stay comfortable. I'm glad we only stayed one night. "Superior Room" seems to mean you get 2 extra single beds to take up the floor space.
THis hotel is like being on the Marie Celeste - you never see anyone. The receptionist is all things barman and any other duties req'd. The hotel is purpose built very tired around the edges. Bar has next to no drink on offer. One lager,Cider run out otherwise cans and spirits,no english breakfast as chef on holiday!. BUT room execellent very well equipped, clean reasonable size. All en suite. Road noise bad if window left open. Good car parking. For no nonsense accomm at a reasonable rate I would use it again. I will in fact. Does need refurb though but then prices would increase. Can't have it both ways. Staff very cheerful.
Where was restaurant. Why no replacement chef? No ambience, seemed deserted. Bit tatty Understoked bar
The room was big and warm (once we closed the window and turned up the radiator) and the bathroom facilities were good (except for the cracked washbasin). Nice big carpark.
The walls must be paper thin as the children in the room nextdoor kept us awake most of the night. The hotel seems to be under construction and there were no facilities available in the evening - we had to order food from a takeaway. The breakfast dining area was freezing cold.
electric plug socket didnt work , no hot water at all fot shower in the morning staff didnt seem bothered when we complained and were told they will call me back but never did i wud never stay here again very diappointed !!!!!!!! decor is very out dated and stains on carpet
Good price Close to the NEC exellent breakfast Clean & tidy
Rooms & facilities rather tired.
We had a water leak in the shower area - the manager was there immediately and offered us an alternate room.
The even numbered rooms look over a very busy road - odd numbers look over the car park (much less noisy).
Beds were very comfortable and the free parking on site was a big thumbs up
carpet was filthy and stained, decor very outdated, television flickered and looked like it went out with the last century. Shower leaked.
